Not a work boot
These are really nice looking boots. And thats all theyâre nice looking. Certainly not a work boot. I bought these boot in Aug.2018. With in 4 months the stitching started to fall apart on the right boot. The left boot is still holding on. Any day now it looks like its ready to give.Angel
Not bad at all, especially for the price
I've always been reluctant to purchase footwear from Walmart, but gave these boots a try because I wanted to see for myself how these would hold up and feel compared to similar, but much more expensive boots (Timberland, Nike, Bates, Skechers, to name a few). After purchasing these boots for under $30 and owning them for a couple of months, they still look almost new (I wear them almost every day, have hiked for many miles in them), they're as comfortable as boots 4-5x the cost, as well as warm, and lightweight for steel toe boots. Although the boots are not leather, they don't give off a "cheap" appearance and go very well with jeans and casual slacks. The treads are thick and grip fairly well, even in wet or snow conditions. The steel toe up front does the job...a sledgehammer slipped out of my hand landing right on the toe and didn't do any damage to the front of the boot, and my toes remained unscathed.
Based on how these boots feel and have held up, I would not hesitate to buy another pair after these wear out. Even if they only last a year (I've paid $150+ for boots that only lasted a year, or less), they're well worth the $30!Upperhand9978
The best bang of your buck
these boots have logged over 1000 miles on fit bit GPS ( that doesn't include being my only shoes for that13 months. That I wore daily for everything )working as utility pole in line inspector they have been up and down from sea level to 13000 feet through mud snow rain 13 different states of harsh harsh work and a bunch of hard miles not only that these were my day-to-day boots they finally gave out after exactly 13 months and not knowing exactly how many miles and hours are on these boots the only thing that happened was the leather behind the steel toe where it's sown it separated mind you besides the walking the bending and toe dragging the hours and conditions these are the best bang for the buck . it was time so I got new ones these boots with the thick soles and sturdy build lasted a lot longer good deal good price good bootBuyme
- Just got them today, so I can't say anything as to how long they'll last, but they look great, are very comfortable on my old feet, grip fairly well (I just tried them outside with all of the Phila snow and ice), and the price??....you just can't beat $30. I don't wear boots all that often now (don't ride a motorcycle much these days), but for the occasional snow 3 or 4 times a year, and maybe some other times of inclement weather, I think these will do just fine. Oh, forgot to say that I didn't plan on buying boots with a steel toe (my old machine shop days are long ago), but these boots are so lightweight to begin with, you don't even notice the extra ounce or two....and it just might save a toe one day. And mine don't have any zippers that I can find ;-)
- Bottom line, they look great, feel great, seem good on slick surfaces, and come at a very reasonable price.AnimalMother
Great Feeling Boots
First of all, I don't usually write a review on anything until I've used it at least 30 days, but I"m making an exception for these boots.
My old pair of Lugs 6 inch boots finally gave out, so I was looking for a replacement and have been researching a lot of boots. Like others have said, I was doubtful about these, partly due to the price. But money is tight right now, so I decided to buy these yesterday afternoon. I usually get the 6 inch style, but with winter coming, I decided to get a little taller pair.
I have been wearing these pretty constantly since I left the local store. In fact, I put them on in the parking lot. I did get them a half size big to have room for an orthopedic insole, heavier socks, and a bunion on my right foot. With heavy work socks, I have a little wiggle room and they do not put pressure on my bunion. I walked probably 10-15 miles in them and rode my motorcycle for about an hour with them. Man these are comfortable boots! At one point I had to put my foot down in a sandy spot and it felt very solid footing. (a big comfort holding up a 600 lb bike). I don't need the steel toe, but then it doesn't hurt and I don't notice the extra oz or so.
So far I have no complaints on them. I have sure spent more money on worse products.
I will update this review in a couple months, but for now I'm giving these boots 5 stars and recommending them to anyone needing inexpensive boots.WEStrack
