I bought these AND1 Men's Capital 2.0 Athletic Shoes for my 13 year old son. He really likes them. He says that they are really comfortable. He wears them as his everyday shoe, and they hold up well. They are well made to hold up to a 13 year old active boy. I purchased the same pair for him last year because he likes them so much.Walmartshopper122466713
My son really likes his shoes! He perforated the mini holes on the toe box for ventilation and swapped the laces for black ones.DonnaD
Bring back the Capital 2.0, please!
I wore a pair of brand new these on an Amtrak trip from Denver to California in the spring of 2019 and received 5 or 6 complements on them during the train ride including two different passengers who asked if they were Jordans. Fresh out of the store they were comfortable enough to keep on for the entire 31 hour excursion. Now they're broken in and have become my favourite "party out with the dudes" shoes. I would give them five stars except that WalMart has changed the Capital styling to less macho looking grey-soled hitops with straps across the insteps like some boxing shoes have to keep the laces from undoing. I did notice that WalMart's "TredSafe" line now has a hitop with nearly identical styling to the AND1 black version, only with a nonslip sole (see attachment).Rockymtnchris

Cheap But Decent With Inserts
These are inexpensive yet will be comfortable if you don't use the top shoestring holes and if you get your own inserts for comfort. I recommend an insert with arch support and these will be great for casual shoes. Actually, I wear them at work since I'm always on my feet.Kirby
I have a size 8 1/2 in this shoe at home. It is almost an inch to big So I bought a size 8 same shoe and it is not any smaller and looks bigger on the outside of the shoe. My suggestion would be prepared to return these shoes or buy 2 different sizes and return one. As for the shoe it works well wearing it when it snows outside it's heavy and has pretty good grip on the soles high enough for good ankle support.commensense
Honestly, The key to getting good wear from cheaper shoes is to have a good variety. I bought 4 pair shoes for my hubby under $60.00. They'll last a good while because he's not wearing the same pair over and over. So they last longer. No complaints. Kids are harder on shoes so buy 2 pair at a time if they are rough with them.TheUnreliableBike
Better material around the ankle...
Although the price and look are excellent not to mention shipping was amazingly fast, the quality of workmanship, I think, was compromised and therefore remains to be desired. There was this feel of mild discomfort and hardness in the material used unlike in some of the other pairs of shoes I had worn in the past. More concerning was the constant discomfort to the point of slight pain that after several minutes of use, I noticed that my right rear ankle's skin was seriously scraped and bruised. My left foot was somewhat less affected thus only a slight redness and bruise was apparent. I still own a pair of AND1 basketball pair of shoes and it served me well for more than 10 years but this particular pair, I thought, really remains to be desired.Ben
Horrible!! Bought these for my son for basketball just to wear until his to come in. Mind you I realize these are not made with the same quality as the higher end shoes he just needed them for 4 or 5 games. He wore them for a total of 2 games and the entire sole separated from the shoe during his game! You can see in the pics it barely has any glue on it. Never again!Tam
really thin, weak rubber heal
horrible - used only for walking the dog 1/2-hr day, the rubber heal is thin and wears out very fast -- holes in the heal after about 6-weeks.ob11
